Motivation for supporting artists like myself touches on the practical, the affordable and on altruism. It’s more than decoration; it was created to out-last generations. It’s important for me to live around the art I create for a period of time. This helps me consider how it is presented and the contexts in which it is shared. I transform materials that are considered ‘low’ such as scrap wood, found objects, paint markers, and glass shards- yet they are all conservation-minded. There is so much to see and learn, and for that my passions are extremely charged and my work is the by-product of human consciousness.
