| ABOUT: | For the past three months, over one hundred local residents and volunteers from across the city of Philadelphia worked tirelessly painting a 21-foot by 73-foot mural to beautify the playground at the Cecil B. Moore Recreation Center.The mural depicts a colorful array of children engaging in recreational activities and also features North Philadelphia’s own singer/song writer Jill Scott!Community partners include The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The P.I.N.K. Ladies Youth Mentorship Program, The Mural Arts Program, Youth Action, and The Cecil B. Moore Advisory Council.Sponsors include TKMG Associates, US Reality, and Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy P.C.. Supplies were donated by Benjamin Moore Paint Store, Home Depot, and Kenneth & Ayesha Salaam. |
